The "Horses for Handicapped"
program at the Bakas Equestrian Center continues to grow at an amazing rate.
Maintaining the equestrian center is a very expensive and time consuming
task. A program such as this one cannot be successful without help
from area businesses and individuals. Donations of money,
supplies, and time is critical to the ongoing success of the program.

Here's How You Can
Help:
Fund-raisers organized by Bakas vary from
public horse shows and trail rides to golf tournaments and road races.
Monetary and in-kind contributions are appreciated. Contributions go
directly to the "Horses for Handicapped" program for the purchase
of equipment, saddles, riding apparel and organizing special events.
Businesses can donate:
- Monetary donations in any
amount accepted and appreciated
- Services
- Office Equipment
- Office Supplies
(Paper, Sharpies, Dry Erase Markers, Post-It Note Pads, Ink Pens,
Pencils, Clip Boards, Poster Boards, etc)
- New Computers/Software
- Matching funds for employees' donation of
volunteer time
- Horse Sponsorship
($3000 per year or $250 per Month)

Individuals can
donate:
- Monetary donations in any
amount accepted and appreciated
- Cleaning Supplies (Bleach,
Laundry Soap, Lysol Disinfectant
Spray, Window Cleaner, Bathroom Cleaner, , Dish Soap, Pine
Sol, Listerine, 50 Gallon & Tall Kitchen Trash Bags)
- Horses & Gently Used Tack (Please

Hand Soap in Pump Dispensers, Raffle Items & Gift Cards for Events)
- Supplies for Horses (Avon Skin So Soft
Bath Oil, Dollar General Diaper Rash Ointment (ingredients should
contain a min. of 40% zinc oxide), Baby Shampoo, Carrots & Apples,
Hair Detangler, Gift Cards to Local Tack Stores, Old Towels)
- Holiday Decorations (for Special Events)
All businesses or individuals donating a substantial amount will
receive recognition on a plaque displayed at the center.
